Did Poroshenko Overplay His Hand?

Kiev regime heavyweight (I'm being literal here) Petro O. Poroshenko, the Candy Billionaire installed as president of Ukraine by the U.S. (with help from their EU  and UN lackeys) seems to have bitten off more than he could chew by adamantly refusing to address the legitimate concerns of eastern Ukrainians and instead trying to crush them by military force. His last offer to them was "lay down your arms and we'll negotiate." (I'm not exaggerating. That was his "peace plan," an Israeli-style peace plan- you surrender and then I'll tell you what I'm going to do with you.)

Now, after months of artillery bombardment of eastern Ukrainian cities and towns and the separatists seeming to be facing defeat, Russia has sent in military forces to push back the Kiev regime's forces.

Poroshenko seems to think that NATO is going to ride to his rescue. They aren't. The U.S. and EU will impose more punitive sanctions on Russia- their favorite tactic when they don't want to have to invade a country. It's the same thing they did to Iraq from 1990 to 2003, from Iran from 1979 to today, and to Cuba from 1959 until the present. But Russia, while vulnerable, isn't as helpless as those much smaller nations. And the truth is, Europe is punishing itself economically by punishing Russia, as Europe is back in recession now (depression in Spain and Greece with 27% unemployment).

Today U.S. media has been full of imperialist apparatchiks and ideologues spewing anti-Russian propaganda, blaming Russia for everything that's happening in Ukraine, "warning" Russia not to "mess with" Estonian (Obama henchman Charles Kupchan, an ideologue with a temporary perch next to the seat of power, said that.) [1]

These hysterical alarmists keep pretending Putin's very cautious intervention in Ukraine is the first step to the conquest of the Baltics, and Poland, and maybe more. They have totally regressed to the depths of the Cold War in their mentality, while blaming Putin for Cold War thinking!

The U.S. elites and their European fellow travelers are as blind and arrogant and aggressive in their imperialism as always. They learn nothing from their bloody failed adventures like Vietnam, Afghanistan, and Iraq. The nations of Central America are hellholes thanks to the U.S. Their interventions more often then not wreck countries. Add Ukraine in all likelihood to the tally of ruination.

1] "Russia, don't even think about messing around in Estonia or in any of the Baltic areas in the same way that you have been messing around in Ukraine," spewed Charles Kupchan to reporters today. This armchair tough guy is currently White House senior director for European affairs, He is the type of imperialist ideologue who rises high in prestige and influence in this system.  He was an apparatchik in the Clinton regime also, and in between occupied a post in charge of producing more imperialist ideologues at that nest of evil Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., where he is a Professor of International Affairs in the School of Foreign Service and Government Department (they're keeping the seat warm for him), and also holds the grand title of Whitney H. Shepardson Senior Fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations, a holding pen for various imperialist apparatchiks between their government dirty work. In fact he seems to have landed at just about every leading nest of imperialist plotters and "theorists." The rest of his curriculum vitae is linked here.
