China Confirms Yet Again Their Lab Leaked the Coronavirus- Their Guilty Behavior Keeps Making It Obvious

 

 The Chinese rulers are now blocking a renewed attempt by international health investigators to trace the origin of the coronavirus that causes COVD-19. They are rudely rebuffing them and adding the absurd demand that other countries be investigated as the possible source of the virus! Trying to shift blame to other countries in the face of the obvious fact that the disease started in China.

The behavior of the Chinese rulers reeks of guilt. 

If the Chinese were actually half as sure as they pretend to be that the virus didn't leak from their lab, the innocently-named Wuhan Institute of Virology, they would WELCOME and indeed INVITE an international investigation of the lab. Instead they have made sure to prevent that, and going much farther, have attacked anyone suggesting even the possibility of a lab leak!

Last November the Chinese government imposed 200% tariffs on Australian wine imports, which before that amounted to a billion dollars a year in sales for Australia. This was done to punish Australia for suggesting an investigation into the origins of the new coronavirus outbreak.

China has a history of leaking viruses from their labs. On four known occasions coronaviruses leaked from a Beijing lab. And who knows how many other times that they kept secret, and how many other microbes escapes from their labs.

I proved on April 12, by examining the evidence of the behavior of Chinese officialdom, that the virus originated in the Wuhan Institute of Virology. The proof is the heavy-handed cover-up, which included threatening doctors with prison, denying access to investigators, including from the World Health Organization, putting out disinformation, and repeatedly attacking anyone and any government that so much as suggests investigating the origin of the virus- behavior which continues to this day.

The 1921 Tulsa, Oklahoma Massacre Wasn't A "Race Riot," It Was A Pogrom

 U.S. propaganda media are referring to the utter destruction of the entire African-American community of Tulsa, Oklahoma, in 1921 as a "race riot." This is deceptive.

A riot is a spontaneous outburst of mob violence. A pogrom is an organized, pre-planned attack on a minority community that is already oppressed. 

Pogrom's are organized by government authorities, who employ mobs along with police and in the case of Tsarist Russia, soldiers, to carry out a mass terrorist attack on a besieged community.

What happened in Tulsa in 1921 was organized by the local power structure. The town newspaper incited the attack. The local government, including the police, aided and abetted it. (No one can deny they did zero to stop it.) The assault lasted two days and a night, May 31 and June 1. 35 square city blocks were destroyed. (The Washington Post says 45.) Where was the Governor? Where was the President? Where were the state police, the National Guard, the U.S. Army? 

 The white racists of Tulsa looted the homes and businesses of the African-American citizens before razing the entire neighborhood of Greenwood. An estimated 300 African-Americans were murdered. A plane was used in an aerial bombardment of the area. In the aftermath, no criminal charges were ever brought for the thousands of felonies, including murders, that were committed. That fact alone proves official approval. No compensation has ever been paid.

Now, thanks to various social activists and writers and a handful of historians making noise about this buried crimes for a number of years, the U.S. power establishment has jumped to the head of the march. The propaganda system is suddenly reporting something it kept hidden for years Even the president of the U.S. has gotten into the act, declaring one of the two dates of the pogrom a "day of remembrance,." Wringing its hands, the power establishment feigns sympathy, distancing itself from a crime it managed to keep "secret" for a hundred years. Now "the" media is acting like it didn't hide the fact of the pogrom for a century. The establishment's propaganda system has assiduously avoided mentioning that this major historical event is kept secret from students, who are never told of it, nor is it mentioned in their textbooks. The propagandists also conveniently neglect to mention that not a dime of compensation has ever been paid for the wanton looting and destruction. Nor is any mention made of making actual amends for the crime- which is why we are on safe ground saying that the sympathy is feigned. [1]

By waiting a century to even admit the existence of this event, the system has outlasted all but three of the victims - only one, who was 7 years old at the time, with any useful memory of the event- of the largest incident of violent racial oppression in U.S. history. (At least, the largest we know about. Who knows what else has been hidden all these years?)

Oppression is the key word here. The "madness" had a logic. It was not merely an emotional explosion of hate that made no sense. The black community of Greenwood was prosperous. It's residents were independent and successful. It's very existence constituted a threat to the white supremacist social order in two ways. First, the visible economic success of the blacks put the lie to the foundational myth of white supremacy, that "whites" are inherently superior to "blacks," who are an innately inferior species of being. Second, throughout U.S. history, including to the present day, white prosperity depends in part on the ability to economically exploit blacks, starting with the hyper-exploitation of slavery. The ability to exploit by keeping people in menial jobs at low pay and no benefits requires that the victims have no other options, and are not independent. Thus Greenwood NEEDED to be destroyed as an economic imperative. [2]

Again, the establishment power structure is on the job, making sure people don't understand this by not mentioning any of it.

Oklahoma is a major oil producing state. It is also one of the most reactionary states in the U.S. If the "whites" there think it's "unfair' that they "should have to pay for something they didn't do," (I guess it's fairer to rob and murder black people and not compensate them) then let them levy a special tax on the oil industry there and pay the descendants decent money. Throughout U.S. history every effort has been made to keep "blacks" impoverished, to impede their economic advancement in every way possible. Not just he obvious ways like job discrimination, which can be blamed on individual bigotry, hiding the role of institutional racism (which the Republicans deny exist!, including, most disgustingly, the black opportunist Tim Scott, GOP Senator from South Carolina) ) [3]

The failure to face reality honestly in the case of the 1921 Tulsa pogrom has a parallel in the failure to face reality in the January 6 coup attempt earlier this year. The attempt by Donald J. Trump to remain in office by a blatant seizure of power is being called a "riot," or sometimes an "insurrection," when was plainly on its face a failed coup. The whole point of storming the Capitol was to stop the certification of Biden as the winner of the November 2020 presidential election. This was explicit. Trump himself personally instigated the mob invasion of the Capitol just minutes before the mob swarmed the building. Trump even named specific individuals as targets, including his own vice president, Michael Pence. Yet Democrats and media figures say there is a need to investigate "to find out what happened." You really don't now what happened? That is a radical denial of reality.

An unhealthy person is one who cannot face reality. Likewise an unhealthy country is also.

The organized mob did its work well.

Black Wall Street Gallery, New York City. At least they didn't burn it down. One or a few creeps acting under cover of darkness lacked the nerve to do that.

1]  However some of our "sick white brothers" as Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. referred to them in a speech shortly before they murdered him, aren't even feigning sympathy. On the contrary, they are taking the occasion to forcibly assert white supremacy. The "Black Wall Street Gallery" in the neighborhood of Soho in Manhattan was defaced on the "day of remembrance," its sign obliterated with WHITE paint, the message being "We Erase You!" The obliterated neighborhood of Greenwood in Tulsa was referred to at the time as "the black Wall Street." No doubt that was yet another provocation which the white supremacists of the era found intolerably insulting to their unwarranted sense of superiority. In fact, like Nazis, they are inferior to normal human beings.

2]  Entire books and studies have been written about the systematic economic repression of African-Americans post slavery. Starting with the failure to make good on the promise of "40 acres and a mule" to give freed slaves an economic stake, instead consigning them to the neo-slavery of forced prison labor and peonage of sharecropping, on through the insistence of Southern Democrats in Congress that New Deal programs like the minimum wage and Social Security be designed to exclude farm laborers and house maids- i.e. blacks- to the racist covenants in home deeds barring sales to blacks, to discriminatory Federal housing policies, redlining by banks, the refusal of the Agriculture Department to provide black farmers with access to aid programs they were entitled to, virtually wiping out American black farmers as a class, to the organized assault on black homeowners by mortgage fraudsters- the list is practically endless, and entire books have been written about each specific example. But one must step back from scrutinizing individual trees to perceive the forest of racist oppression as a whole. American white racists even went so far as to deliberately build highways through black inner city neighborhoods, using "urban renewal" as an excuse to wipe them out and scatter their inhabitants to the winds. Probably the worst of these culprits was Robert Moses, an unelected infrastructure "czar" whom the venal politicians of New York State empowered to rampage through poor neighborhoods in this fashion, not only destroying communities, tearing to shreds the social fabric of the people living there, but bringing in more polluting motor vehicles to cause disease and death. Moses was such an awful racist that he ordered bridge overpasses on the highway leading to Jones Beach to be made too low for buses to pass below them. He wanted to make sure that poor black and Hispanic families without cars couldn't go to the each. This humanoid piece of excrement was so evil he went out of his way to prevent children who were the wrong "color" from enjoying the seashore and the ocean. How loathsome can you get? And how despicable is a political system that empowers such as this creature? Robert Caro wrote a detailed book on Moses' numerous crimes against humanity, although the book is flawed by a lack of appropriate moral outrage. Caro was fascinated by the nature of power, and how Moses managed to acquire it.

Lest you think such gratuitously racist attitudes such as Moses' are a thing of the past, it wasn't long ago when shrewish rightwing propagandist Megyn Kelly shouted at her TV audience that "SANTA CLAUS IS WHITE!," just to try and make "black" children feel inferior and left out. Santa Claus of course is an IMAGINARY BEING and thus CAN BE ANY "COLOR" ANYONE WANTS HIM TO BE, you loathsome racist bitch!

3]  No surprise, after I wrote this [but before posting, as I was still editing], the Republican mayor of Tulsa said it wouldn't be "fair" to make "taxpayers" (presumably only "whites" pay taxes in Oklahoma!) pay for something "criminals" did long ago. Sooo predictable! In fact, I predicted it!

I Already Proved On April 12 That The New Coronavirus Escaped From A Chinese Lab. Now the U.S. Establishment Is Beginning to Catch Up With Me

 

 Six weeks ago I posted an essay that proved that the coronavirus that causes COVID-19 disease originated as a leak from a Chinese research laboratory. [Link below- Footnote 1.] 

First of all, let me say that proof is a bit like beauty, in that it's in the eye of the beholder. Proof is, quite simply, that which convinces someone that something is true. We can see a cop murdering a person on video, yet to cop-lovers and other cops, the video proves no such thing. In mathematics there are agreed rules for proof. No other area has such precise rules, not even the sciences, where there is some subjectivity and interpretation. And in every other area, there are no real rules, because people ignore the basic rules of logic when it suits them, and deny or ignore facts they don't like.

Nevertheless, I made a cogent case, based mainly on the behaviour of Chinese state authorites and those under their control, that this disease-causing virus originated as a leak from the notorious Wuhan Institute of Virology lab in Wuhan, China. You need to read my original essay. To briefly summarize some of the main points:

- When Chinese doctors first spotted signs of the disease, the police threatened them with prison for "spreading rumors," which stopped an incipient medical response.

-The Chinese regime reacts violently to any calls for investigating the origin of the disease. When the Australian government called for an investigation, the Chinese immediately applied punitive tariffs on Australian imports to China.

-The Chinese regime stonewalled the World Health Organization for months on doing an investigation. When they finally allowed a WHO team into Wuhan, it was closely chaperoned and not permitted to actually investigate. Instead they were spoonfed a Chinese "investigation" which dismissed the possibility of a lab leak out of hand and instead suggested frozen food as a disease vector, an absurdity in this case.

Since I last wrote on this, more damning evidence has emerged. Three workers from the notorious Wuhan lab were hospitalized in November 2019, with symptoms of COVID-19, before the first acknowledged cases in China. (The Wall Street Journal reported this, and it was picked up by other media outlets.) And every time the Chinese react with extreme defensiveness and screech outraged rhetoric at suggestions that further (that is, actual and not performative) investigation is called for, that constitutes more evidence that they feel a strong need to hide something. That something is obviously the lab leak.

Furthermore, contrary to the false and pacifying claims by U.S. government bureaucrat Dr. Anthony Fauci and by other Americans with ties to the Wuhan lab, that lab is NOT a highly secure facility. Fauci and others have emitted a smokescreen of reassuring, anodyne, misleading statements all along on that score. The Wuhan lab doesn't operate at top level biosecurity. Leaks are common at such labs. In fact, there are at least 6 prior known escapes of coronaviruses from research labs. Four of these occurred in Beijing, China's capital, and one each in Singapore and Taiwan. [2]

We are also seeing nails put in the coffin of the alibi that the outbreak originated in the "live animal" market in Wuhan. Hundreds of samples were taken from the market. The number of positive coronavirus results? Zero. And the "live animals" sold at the market were reptiles only, which cannot be infected with this virus. Only dead mammal meat was sold there, which cannot infect humans.  [3]

Much of the resistance to accepting the apparent fact of the true origin of the virus stems from the fact that the hated Donald Trump said it. Since the Democrats and the vast constellation of media assets allied with them in an anti-Trump front felt duty-bound to oppose most anything Trump uttered, this inclined them ti dismiss the idea of a Chinese lab leak as a baseless smear. 

But not every single thing Trump says is false, as mindless Democrats and their media allies believe. I despise Trump as much as anyone, but that hasn't caused me to lose my ability to evaluate reality objectively. Trump indeed tells thousands of lies, and some number of falsehoods which he believes (telling which bits of his nonsense he actually believes is not always easy). But even Trump occasionally makes true statements. To think otherwise is irrational.

The dam of denial started to break earlier this year, when U.S. government career medical bureaucrat, former Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Director Robert Redfield said in March that  he believes “the most likely etiology of this pathology in Wuhan was from a laboratory." The pressure increased earlier this month when 18 prominent virologists managed to get Science magazine to publish their letter saying the possibility of a leak from the Wuhan lab deserved study.  (Science, the premiere U.S. science journal, is the publication of the American Association for the Advancement of Science.) Exercising scientific caution, they won't say it happened until they see biological evidence. The rest of us are free to consider ALL the evidence in drawing a conclusion. As I have shown, the behavior of the Chinese "authorities" is pretty definitive in this regard.

U.S. president Biden just ordered the U.S. "intelligence community" to investigate the source of the outbreak. If the secret police had read my mid-April expose, they'd have a leg up. [4]

The government buraucrat Saint Anthony Fauci (at least that's how much of the media treats him and a large swath of the population regards him- as a saint), supple public relations man/propagandist that he is, has smoothly slinked away from his prior position that the virus DEFINITELY did NOT leak from the Wuhan lab. What he's been saying NOW is for example this stuff: "Because we don't know 100% what the origin is, it's imperative that we look and we do an investigation:" "I said I’m perfectly in favor of any investigation that looks into the origin of the virus;” “That possibility [a lab accident in Wuhan] certainly exists, and I am totally in favor of a full investigation of whether that could have happened;” and "no one knows not even I 100% what the origin is including me. That's why we favor further investigation." Not even the Great Fauci knows for sure!

Fauci is a political cat who always lands on his feet. 

Fauci is an extremely successful bureaucrat, having held the same high level position as director of the U.S. National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases for nearly 40 years. Fauci is the guy who early in the pandemic told people masks were no good and you shouldn't wear them. Asked to explain this later, when he took the diametrically opposite tack, he said "we" were worried about mask shortages for medical personnel. In other words, he'll be dishonest in order to manipulate the public. We are people to be acted upon by this character.

So we should discount what Fauci has to say about this. The only interest in his pronouncements will be watching how he smoothly inches his way over to the most politic position of the moment for him. If and when the U.S. establishment consensus is that yes indeed, the virus was a lab leak, he'll be telling us that he never ruled that out as a possibility (which will be a lie). He's an expert at parsing words so he never admits error or is caught in a blame-worthy position.  He is first and foremost a government bureaucrat, all of whose public pronouncements are designed to manipulate the public, to cause a political or social effect. But Fauci's newfound openness to at least investigating the possibility of a lab leak in Wuhan has inadvertently provided more confirmation that that's exactly what happened. Chinese state media are now calling Fauci "morally degenerate." (No gratitude for the year Fauci spent deflecting suspicion away from them!) 

If the lab was blameless, the Chinese would WELCOME an investigation to exonerate the lab and themselves! Instead they go ballistic at the mere suggestion of looking into the matter.. You know what that proves?

Guilty as charged.

A year ago, Fauci got the usual glorifying treatment in this National Geographic puff piece from May 4, 2020. Notice the straw man argument headline: "No scientific evidence the coronavirus was MADE in a Chinese lab." The issue isn't whether it was man-made. The issue is a leak of the virus into the environment. "Proving" the virus was not artificially engineered was speciously used to assert the disease outbreak did not come from the lab. Which of course is sophistry. What research labs study is organisms from nature.

Hey asshole, if you meant it, you'd call on Biden to stop persecuting Julian Assange and issuea presidential pardon to protect him! What an obnoxious phony!

Strong Evidence The Novel Coronavirus Originated In A Chinese Lab. Here's The Evidence

 Think back to what happened when the new coronavirus disease (now dubbed COVID-19) was first noticed by doctors in Wuhan, China. This is never mentioned anymore, but it should be, because it is highly significant.

A few doctors noticed new, unusual illnesses in patients and began communicating about it to each other. The police hauled them in and threatened them with prison for "spreading rumors," telling them in no uncertain terms to SHUT THE FUCK UP!

Why would a government feel threatened by doctors alerting each other to cases of a new illness?

The "explanation" that the U.S. media peddled at the time, apparently taking their lead from Chinese propaganda, was that the Wuhan bosses feared looking bad to their superiors in Beijing. That "explanation" makes zero sense, if you spend about 10 seconds thinking about it.

The local goons constituting "authority" in Wuhan were afraid of making a bad impression on their superiors if they acted quickly to deal with a disease outbreak.

Whereas they would look GOOD if they forced the doctors to keep quiet, not alert the medical community, take NO steps to deal with the disease, and allow it to spread. Right. Got it.

That is some of the purest BULLSHIT there is.

The behavior of the Wuhan "authorities" (political power bosses) ONLY makes sense if they were COVERING UP A STATE CRIME. Their behavior is how rulers behave when they are hiding criminality, malfeasance, or culpability by the state. We've seen the pattern hundreds of times all over the world, including often in the U.S., where whistleblowers are routinely raided by the FBI, indicted, and imprisoned.

This is prima facie evidence that the state was guilty of causing the outbreak.

More evidence: Chinese stonewalling on allowing outside investigations. In fact, after Australia called for such an investigation, the Chinese regime punished Australia by imposing stiff import tariffs on important Australian products. The regime reacts with fury if anyone even MENTIONS doing a real investigation.

 Sounds like someone has something to hide, now doesn't it?

That something was an experiment with a virus that went badly awry. It could have been a non-military experiment, or part of bioweaponry research.

U.S. medical bureaucrat Anthony Fauci has put up a smokescreen of reassuring rhetoric to absolve the Chinese of this possibility. This is the same guy who early on in the pandemic told Americans not to wear face masks. This was terrible MEDICAL advice, and he KNEW it at the time. 

But Fauci wasn't acting as a physician when he discouraged Americans from wearing face masks to protect themselves, even though he pretended he was. He was acting as a government medical bureaucrat. It later emerged that his motive was to prevent a run on masks that might lead to shortages of masks for medical personnel. Fauci and the bureaucracy decided that the public needed to be tricked in order to place a higher priority on medical staff. Later, when confronted with the contradiction between this early "medical advice" and the subsequent incessant exhortations to mask up, Fauci spoke as if it was other people who said don't wear masks.

This wasn't the only dishonesty by Fauci. As problems have emerged with the Johnson & Johnson and Astra-Zeneca vaccines, including fatal blood clots in young women from the latter vaccine, Fauci has papered over the facts with assertions that the vaccines are safe and people should take them. The entire U.S. propaganda system has toed this line. (Johnson & Johnson gave thousands of people cancer by selling talcum powder contaminated with asbestos, doing this for years in utter contempt of its customers. Not exactly a trustworthy company. If you want to trust their vaccine data, go ahead, you trusting soul you.)

Meanwhile the Chinese rulers stubbornly stick to their coverup. After months of stalling and stonewalling, the Chinese regime finally allowed a team of "investigators" from the World Health Organization (a UN agency virtually under Chinese control since Trump pulled the U.S. out of it, one of the numerous destructive acts this pathological liar and narcissist committed in four years as president of the U.S., culminating in his failed coup attempt of January 6, 2021). This UN team was held on a short leash by the Chinese, controlling all their movements, and spoon fed them data. The W.H.O. dupes did no real investigating. They went to the market that we are supposed to believe the outbreak originated from, and talked to people there. What possible use this could be, a year later, is unexplained. W.H.O. then told the world that the virus probably didn't originate in a Chinese laboratory.

But there IS another plausible explanation for the behavior of the Wuhan apparatchiks over a year ago. Maybe they were afraid of presenting rising disease statistics to their superiors in the tyrannical hierarchy. Maybe they feared being condemned for poor performance over something beyond their control. Maybe they thought they could hide a budding epidemic if they just didn't report it.

 Now, I don't know, perhaps the party apparatchiks running Wuhan were really that stupid. It's possible. People operating within a rigid totalitarian system are often forced to behave in irrational ways  that are incredibly dumb. So it can't be ruled out entirely.

I just got some insight into how crazy-making the Chinese totalitarian system is, and how the apparatchiks and enforcers within that system have virtually no room for independent judgment and action from an article in The New Yorker magazine detailing the experience of a Kazakh woman, loyal to China, who was sucked into the "reeducation" system in China for no reason at all. It provides a very detailed look at the remorseless system of Chinese oppression of human beings from the inside, and how irrational that system can be.  [1]

China is run by a one-party dictatorship that imprisons lawyers who represent citizens who sue officials who rob them, that disappears workers who complain about conditions of work into a vast gulag of brainwashing prisons. Anyone who dares speak out is guilty of the "crime" of "picking quarrels and causing trouble." This is not a trustworthy state. [2]

In any event, the dictatorship is still working assiduously to keep their coronavirus dirt hidden under the rug of propaganda and lies. And now the Chinese regime is making hay by spreading its vaccine around the world, scoring Goodwill points. Only thing is, it's a crappy vaccine. Latest statistics from Brazil, for example, show it having an efficacy rate of 50.4%, just barely acceptable.

But not to worry. Chinese officials and their propagandists and stooges will lie about that, and the Good Dr. Fauci will manage to put a positive spin on that too. He just LOVES the vaccines, ALL of them!

Actually "the authorities" didn't "detain" him, they disappeared him into their vast prison gulag. His crime was the all-purpose "spreading rumors and making trouble." That's a beef good for a five year prison stretch.

Joe Manchin Singlehandedly Robs Unemployed Americans of BILLIONS of Dollars

 

 Rightwing Democratic Senator Joe Manchin just cheated hard working laid-off Americans, many with families to support, out of billions of dollars of enhanced unemployment benefits.
A traitor to his own party, Manchin sabotaged Biden's COVID relief bill, dubbed "The American Rescue Plan." The House of Representatives previously passed the bill in its prior form. Now the House is having the Manchin-vandalized version shoved down its throat. 

What a venal character.

Bad enough that MOST unemployed people are NOT getting ANY benefits. On top of that, most states provide extremely skimpy benefits to workers who lose their jobs through no fault of their own. (Workers who quit or are fired "for cause" are not entitled to a red cent in state support. This forces workers to put up with horrible jobs, including health-destroying ones. Nor are workers labeled "independent contractors," including under the "digital economy" label "gig workers," eligible. Those who are legally eligible are forced to leap over a variety of hurdles designed to prevent them from receiving benefits. And as if THAT weren't enough to cheat workers, hundreds of thousands are falsely accused of fraud by their state's government agencies. See the reference at the bottom.) Biden's Covid Relief Bill would have added $400 to the state unemployment insurance payments, through the end of September 2021.

"Centrist" Joe Manchin found this unacceptable and insisted on $300 only, PLUS ending the top-off September 7. (The Power Establishment's propaganda system insists on calling Manchin a "centrist" habitually attaches the adjective "moderate" to his name. What's he in the "center" of? Hard line reaction on one side and conservative status quo "liberals" on the other? And if he's "moderate," that makes anyone to his left immoderate, extreme. Detect any anti-progressive media bias there?)

$300 is only HALF the additional $600 per week the unemployed got from the Federal government LAST year under TRUMP!

Rather than the other 49 Democratic Senators blasting Manchin and insisting he support the party and his own party's president, Manchin got his way. Probably because they didn't really object.

This extortion was only possible because the Senate is divided, 50 Republicans who virtually always constitute a solid reactionary bloc, and 49 Democrats plus the Independent Senator Bernard Sanders of Vermont, who lines up with the Democrats most of the time.

So in order for the bill to pass, Manchin's vote was needed. Thus this creepy extortionist robbed around 10 million Americans of billions of dollars. Just do the math. $100 stolen off every check to 10 million people is a billion bucks. That's on every single payment, so the theft adds up to tens of billions, including the bulk of September where the robbery is $400 per check. (A 50-50 tie vote would be broken by the vice president, Kamala Harris.) (As of this writing, the U.S. Department of Labor on its website puts the number of people receiving unemployment compensation at 10.1 million people. Most of whom in turn support family members. So probably around 30 million people are partially or wholly dependent on these payments.)

Manchin benefits personally from his mass theft from millions of people. Manchin, like every U.S. Senator, represents the business interests of state. U.S. business benefits from keeping workers insecure and without recourse to significant state aid. It forces them to accept whatever wages and working conditions are dished out to them. This is called 'labor discipline" in capitalist economic terminology. And with only an insignificant fraction of the non-governmental labor force represented by unions (like 8%), workers have little leverage and scant bargaining power with companies and their bosses. The virtual destruction of organized labor in the U.S. was a project of the ruling elite spanning decades that has been hugely successful. Even assassinations were used in this magnificent achievement. 

Manchin doesn't benefit personally from his attack on the welfare of tens of million of people just because his donors are pleased, and the local media (the propaganda arms of the capitalist elite) will continue to promote him, he also benefits very directly as half owner of a local hotel, where the workers are paid $8.81 an hour. Remember what I just explained about "labor discipline." Indeed, reactionaries have been screeching that "too generous" benefits will "discourage people from working," i.e. from working for miserly pay and little or no benefits.
 
West Virginia, the state that miserly Manchin "represents," is a poor state. As we see, Manchin is directly attacking the economic welfare of many of "his own" constituents.

And yet they vote for this bastard.

What is the explanation for such masochism?

Rank stupidity, I suppose. And the effects of years of establishment media lies and brainwashing and gaslighting, in particular letting Manchin get away with posing as a local Everyman to his "fellow West Virginians."
 
Since I am not a leftist, I don't have the leftist bias of putting "the people" on a pedestal and making excuses for the masses. To leftists, the millions who vote for reactionaries and con men are being tricked somehow, and "we" just need to "educate" them to enlighten them.
Well lefties have been yakking away at people for centuries in the U.S., and it has mostly been futile. The truth is, people are fundamentally irrational, and that is why they are immune to persuasion with mere facts. As the fascist Ronald Reagan once notorious said, "facts are stupid things." The Higher Truth of ideology trumps facts.

The power establishment's national  propaganda system habitually designates Manchin as a "moderate." This is their deceptive lingo for rightwing but not fascist.

So meet the new boss of the U.S. Senate, same as the old boss. Before it was Mitch McConnell from the primitive state of Kentucky who ruled the Senate as Republican Majority Leader, or Fuhrer. Now it's Joe Manchin from the primitive backwater state of West Virginia, a state so mired in the past that people there refuse to let go of the coal industry- a criminal industry that has systematically destroyed the environment of the state

An acknowledgement of Manchin's grotesque power (but NOT a condemnation or criticism of it) came from long-time NPR figure Mara Liasson, who said "You're not gonna get rid of the filibuster or reform it without Joe Manchin on your side." [1]

I guess that means the Republicans will continue to have a veto over most legislation, since the "filibuster rule," an invention of racist Southern Senators in the 19th century intended to protect slavery- as if it needed more protecting- requires 60 votes out of 100 to do most ANYTHING in the U.S. Senate. (An exception was carved out for "budget reconciliation" bills, and the Democrats used that to push through the Manchin-crippled Covid Relief Bill.)

By the way, it was a BIG DEAL that took YEARS to "achieve" to change the filibuster rule from requiring 67 votes for "cloture." a fancy term for ending "debate," as if Senators actually debate.

Evil Propagandist Dies, And Some U.S. Media Hails Him As A Great Man

  A "legend," an "icon," these are words being used on radio "news" stations and elsewhere to describe the noxious, destructive purveyor of ignorant lies Rush Limbaugh, whose cigar smoking caught up with him at the age of 70, dead after "a battle with" lung cancer. (Susan Sontag demolished the obnoxious propaganda habit of describing people with diseases as "battling" the disease in her book "Illness As Metaphor.") (Most people don't read much except junk, so they won't be informed of how evil Limbaugh was.)

Why hail such a malign creature? Treating hard rightwing propagandists and its purveyors as respectable and legitimate gives them credence. The establishment power structure's propaganda system does this to indoctrinate the populace in reactionary ideology and lies that benefits the class interests of the rich and their corporate vehicles. This why even though "liberals" and "the liberal media" were constant targets of Limbaugh's mendacious vituperation, he was never honestly reported or commented on by those elements of the power structure.

You must understand that Limbaugh was part of a much larger phenomenon. Rich oligarchs who control several thousand radio stations in the U.S. decided to flood the airwaves with reactionary agit-propaganda spewed by demagogues into the ears of millions of people. Limbaugh was the most prominent of these- but not even the worst. [For example, Michael Weiner, who goes by the apt pseudonym "Michael Savage," is even worse.] [1]

Instead of sane, rational commentary, people's minds are assailed by neo-fascist rabble-rousing demagogues that the monopoly owners of U.S. radio stations have decided are fit fare to indoctrinate the American public with ultra-reactionary attitudes and warped versions of reality.

Why was Limbaugh so execrable? To prove the point  would be like trying to succinctly explain what was so awful about Nixon. It takes at least a book to do the topic justice. And just citing a few examples looks like picking and choosing. But every day, for decades, Limbaugh spewed reactionary poison into the eardrums of idiots who lapped up his lies.

Like all privileged fascists, Limbaugh was an extreme hypocrite who was addicted to illegal drugs while frequently demanding that other people (especially blacks)  who used outlawed drugs be given draconian prison terms or even be executed. (Limbaugh himself escaped punishment for his own lawbreaking of course.)

Limbaugh was a sexist, racist dog who specialized in character assassination. Just one example: In 2019 he falsely asserted that TV commentator Krystal Ball posed nude for photos at age 14.

Limbaugh spewed thousands of malicious lies during his "career," and it would be impossible to list them all here. So these are but a few of them.

Limbaugh helped kill many people by pooh-poohing the seriousness of the deadly COVID-19 pandemic, which as of this writing has killed about half a million people in the U.S.

Limbaugh didn't just deny global warming, of course, he even denied the fact that CFC's destroy ozone in the upper atmosphere. Not even reactionary scientists deny this.

Limbaugh aided and abetted Trump's coup attempt by incessantly peddling the Big Lie that the Democrats "stole" the 2020 presidential election, a lie equivalent to the Nazi lie that Germany lost World War I because Jews stabbed Germany in the back. Equivalent in being a total fabrication and equivalent in being a malign political lie with terrible consequences.

It is a relief that Limbaugh in effect killed himself by his noxious habit of smoking cigars. He thought this anti-health practice was sticking it to the rest of us. Being anti-social is what reactionaries think is brave non-conformity. Being dead wrong is their idea of "independent thinking." 

Good riddance to a destructive creature.

Had To Cry Today

 Today is January 18, a day the U.S. Federal government has designated an official holiday in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr., a man that government murdered on April 4th, 1968. [1]

Naturally, certain media outlets devoted some airtime or text space to content about King. Democracy Now! (democracynow.org, which is also aired on various radio stations) played parts of his speeches, including the last one, which he delivered in Memphis, Tennessee, the night before he was murdered there. He was in Memphis to support striking African-American sanitation workers, who were horribly abused and underpaid by the racist rulers of that city. The death of two of their brethren in a trash compactor was the last straw for these workers, prompting the strike. [2]

King's last speech foretold his own death.

The murder of King is tragic on a number of levels. On the deepest level, it is the triumph of evil over good. That is the hardest part to take.

It was a victory of racists over the oppressed "black" population of America. That gave heart to racists all over the world, ad pain and gloom to "blacks" worldwide.

It was a success for the U.S. power structure, whose members fervently hated King. King was the target of vicious attacks in leading U.S. media for his opposition to the Vietnam war, by the Washington Post in its editorial page a year earlier, and Life magazine, among many others.

It was a sweet victory for the FBI, especially the two leading culprits running that secret police agency, John Edgar Hoover and William Sullivan. Hoover branded King "the most dangerous negro in America." Sullivan at least met with poetic justice, shot dead in an apparent assassination. His killer was the son of a police official, and he claimed to be out hunting and thought Sullivan was a deer. (Sure.)

It was a victory for the CIA, which carried out the hit and arranged to frame the fall guy, a petty criminal and racist named James Earl Ray.

The "elimination" of King threw the civil rights movement into disarray, removed its most stirring orator nad leading figure, an irreplaceable person. It prompted riots in 100 cities, allowing the pwoer structure to kill more blacks (those inclined to rebellion). It helped elect the "law and order" candidate for president that November, RIchard Milhous Nixon, one of the most pathological figures in U.S. history. It helped deepen the racial divide. Divide and rule is a cardinal principle of the U.S. elite.  And tactially, it freed the way for the Johnson regime to crush the rally in Washington King had organized, which intended to stay in the capital city of the Empire until certain legislation was passed by Congress to economically aid the poor.

From the point of view of the ruling class, King was a menace. By coming out against the horrendous war on Vietnam, talking about the need to reform the capitalist system to resolve the race issue, and reaching out to aid workers, King could potentially raise people's consciousness by connecting the separate "issues" of war, racism, labor rights and the economic system and dcreate broad unity in segments of the populace. An intolerable menace.

And what of King's main nemesis, the creator of the secret police agency, the FBI? The bourgeois elite have mostly turned their backs on Hoover. Apparently his legacy of political repression is inconvenient for them- it clashes with their propaganda about loving "freedom and democracy" and the U.S. as "the land of the free."  But he is memorialized anyway. THe natioaal headquarters of the FBI, the main nest of this colony of fascist insects, is emblazoned with Hoover's name: "The J. Edgar Hoover FBI Building." As a state within a state, the FBI is free to honor the discredited Hoover. Establishment emdia and politicians maintain a discreet silence about this outrage, and do not demand the building be renamed. You see, in the U.S., unlike in other police states, no one controls the FBI. The U.S. is the police state to beat all police states.

King was a saint. That is, a person who was willing to sacrifice his own life for the greater good of humanity. He opposed violence against the vicious repression and terrorism against black people. He in a very articulate and dignified way asked the system to change its ways. Its response was to murder him.

So I spent part of the day crying. Not for the death of a good man. Good people die all the time. I can handle that. In part what caused my tears was the power of King's own words. In part the poignancy that a rare person, an American saint, was eliminated by an evil power structure that has ruled America from the beginning without interrupttion. But the main cause of my tears was the FACT that evil won, as it often does on this planet. Evil is destructive of humanity. And on a deeper level,  Evil is anti-Life.

1] Reactionaries and racists on every level of American society opposed the creation of the holiday. The political utility of the holiday for the power structure is that it can coopt King's legacy, erase his opposition to the Vietnam war and his economic critique of U.S. capitalism, and transform a vital leader and potential source of contemporary inspiration to push for change, into a plaster saint.

Trump Orders His Stormtrooper Mob to Invade Capitol Building, Stopping Presidential Election Certification

 The fascist mob of "Proud Boys" and other terrorists and fanatics that Trump summoned to Washington and ordered to besiege the Capitol building have invaded Congress. The Capitol police are desperately trying to evacuate the Congresspeople. A fascist fanatic is at the Senate rostrum, screaming that Trump won the election.  The building went on lockdown but the fascist mob broke into the building, trapping the legislators and others. [1]

Tear gas has been released in the Capitol rotunda (as of this writing it wasn't reported by who), a terrorist discharged a fire extinguisher, and the stormtroopers are breaking down doors inside the Capitol building.

So Trump is now going to say that Biden isn't president because the Electoral College results haven't been certified. He already tweeted that his vice president, Michael Trump, is a coward for not refusing to do his duty and ritually certify the results. (Trump said Pence "lacked courage" to "save America.")

Imagine if a mob of leftists tried to storm the Capitol. They'd simply be gunned down. As it was, we saw during the months of protests following the police murder of George Floyd how "leftist" protesters are treated by police. With rampant brutality, including deliberate blindings and killings.

Police reinforcements attempting to reach the Capitol building were blocked by protesters who stood in front of their cars. Contrast that with police running over Black Lives Matter protesters. Indeed there have been over 100 vehicular attacks on BLM protesters by police and civilian fascists, with virtually no arrests, including in "liberal" New York City.

The bourgeois radio commentary so far is handwringing and bewildered. Unlike if a mob of progressives or blacks attacked their Capitol. Then the reaction would be enraged, violently vitriolic, and demanding repression. Recall that a number of bourgeois media and political figures called for the assassinations of both Edward Snowden and Julian Assange. So it doesn't take much for trigger establishment violence against those placed on "the left." The right is and has always been treated with kid gloves. That is why bourgeois systems of rule are always at risk of fascist takeover. They are soft on fascism. Indeed they frequently employ it, playing with political fire.

 There are currently 52 prisoners under Federal death sentences. As president, Biden has the power to commute those sentences to life in prison (or any lesser sentence, or even to issue pardons, which exonerates the person and erases the conviction). If he doesn't commute all those death sentences, he'll be proving once again he's a phony and a liar.

Biden may or may not be against the death penalty. But he certainly isn't against killing. He was the leading Democratic Party ally of Republican president Bush the Younger in beating the war drum for invading Iraq (although these days he lies about that well-documented fact). For eight years he was Barack "The Drone Assassin" Obama's vice president. He promoted a strategy of assassination of Taliban and Al-Qaeda figures.

Don't misunderstand me. I'm fine with ridding the world of Islamofascists, who are the worst totalitarian murders around. And the death penalty for serial murderers and mass murderers I think is just and proper and moral.  I do wonder why a person who is a war hawk is against the death penalty. It may be because his church, Roman Catholicism, is against it.

Anyway, if he doesn't commute those 52 Federal death sentences, we'll know he doesn't really mean it.

BIDEN'S PEDOPHILIAC IMPULSES.

Hard to see what other interpretation to put on his constant pawing, stroking, and outright flirting with girls from ages 6 to 13, and older. In one public incident captured on video, he repeatedly kisses a very young girl and whispers "Don't tell anyone." He is constantly stroking the faces and hair of other people's young children whom he has no relationship with. If he's not a pedophile, he's doing a great imitation of one! His behavior looks like classic "grooming" that pedophiles use to lure children into sexual relations.

All the incidents shown in this video occurred in official ceremonies being recorded on camera. One wonders what he has done in PRIVATE!

This is a segment of a video compiled by someone else on youtube. I consider it a public service, regardless of what the political motivation might have been for creating it. (He mentions in passing Trump's infatuation with daughter Ivanka, but not his boasting about grabbing women's vagina, his forcibly kissing them, etc.) Facts are facts, and this is video evidence. We don't know if Biden has ever in his life crossed the line into outright illegality with a child. Is touching a child's chest where there nipple is, for example, a sex crime?

Here's how I think his molesting of children can cause lasting damage. These girls are being conditioned to submit to and passively accept sexual molestation. In many of these scenes, the victims are the children of adult male politicians who are standing right there smiling broadly and not intervening in any way. One of these creeps is Senator Christopher Coons, who insists it wasn't "creepy" that Biden molested his daughter. What "message" does that send the girl? That she should consider being pawed by men as normal and acceptable. And if one day her passivity in the face of male aggression provides the opportunity for a rapist to lead her into a "compromising" situation, she will feel shame and guilt and blame herself, even though she'd been conditioned to passively submit and not resist male sexual aggression. (Coons is the junior Senator from Delaware, Biden's state. Biden was one of Delaware's two Senators before Obama gifted him to us as vice president for 8 years.)

What is also disgusting is the moral abdication of all the adults standing around with their biggest fake smiles plastered on their faces, willingly subservient to power in the person of Biden. They all pretend Biden is "just being friendly." Denial is one of the hallmarks of a morally corrupt and existentially decayed and decadent society.

In their "compromise" (sellout) to power, these people become accomplices to the crimes of those in power. (A microcosm of the relationship of millions of people to corporate tyranny and U.S. imperialism.)

Biden may prefer underage females, but he doesn't discriminate against adult women, who he also molests. The video references an article about the time Biden cupped the breast of a Secret Service man's adult girlfriend in 2009. The agent is described as shoving Biden and "almost hit" him, and being suspended for a week as a result. [2]

Iran Wants Its Worst Enemy, Trump, To Win Reelection. Claims U.S. Secret Police and Establishment Media

Could anything be more absurd? What an obvious lie. Yet that's what they're claiming.

Who is? The U.S. Secret Police combine and the corporate oligarchy's propaganda system, "the media," so-called. 

The lead actor in this piece of political theater is the "Director of National Intelligence," a Trump stooge named John Ratcliffe. Ratchiffe, a political hack and former Republican Congressman and reactionary weasel. According to this latest concoction of the "intelligence community" (the secret police combine) Iran sent spoof emails in the name of the U.S. stormtrooper group Proud Boys, to Democratic Party voters threatening them to vote for Trump.

Trump. Right. Iran wants to help reelect Trump. The guy who tore up the nuclear agreement with Iran, who reimposed sanctions that are strangling the Iranian economy. Who just blockaded the Iranian banking system from the world financial system. The man who is murdering thousands of Iranians by preventing the importation of cancer medicines, of ventilators for COVID-19 patients, of protective equipment like masks. Iran wants to keep him in office so he can do more damage to Iran.

Sure, I believe you, U.S. secret police and your propagandist enablers. 

Ironically, this propaganda campaign, whose theme is alleged election manipulation by foreign enemies, is ITSELF an election manipulation scheme.   

Just to make sure people fall for this pathetic shit, almost all media reports omit the key details. They just say "Iran and Russia are trying to undermine confidence in the election," they're "trying to undermine the legitimacy of the election," and "Iran is sending emails to intimidate voters." 

But they don't say who the emails go to, and what they are trying to do.

How dishonest can you get?

Do you really need any more evidence that U.S. "news" organizatons are in fact propaganda mills, and U.S. "journalists" are propagandists and stooge mouthpieces for the secret polcie and other governemnt operatives to plant disinformation and slanted distortions of reality in the minds of the public?

Kellyanne Conway Thinks Trump Is Doomed

That's the conclusion I draw from her sudden abandonment of Trump less than 3 months before the presidential election.

The prominent political propagandist and reactionary operative gave only one week public notice of her impending departure from the Trump regime at the end of August.

Conway says the reason she's abruptly leaving is so she can spend more time with her family. That's what politicians always say when they don't want to give the real reason they're giving up a plum job.

Conway's husband, rich rightwing lawyer George Conway, is simultaneously quitting the anti-Trump group he's associated with, "The Lincoln Project." .(He apparently couldn't stomach slithering onto the Trump bandwagon, as his hyper-opportunist wife did.) Kellyanne, while more intelligent than Trump, is like him in that she's a fast-talking bullshit artist. Only she's better at it than he is, thanks to her superior intelligence, which she misuses in the service of evil. And has done her entire adult life. (And probably starting in childhood.)

Kellyanne claims she wants to do more mothering. There may be something to that, insofar as the Conways' 15-year-old daughter Claudia has repeatedly sent cries from the heart into the public space bemoaning her suffering under the oppressive rule of her parents. Her parents barred her from making political comments after she demonstrated that she isn't a reactionary clone of themselves. The fact that George quit his anti-Trump group may be taken as evidence of a parental strategy, although how much time can penning an occasional anti-Trump op-ed take? Presumably George isn't quitting his law practice. Perhaps Kellyanne finagled a deal with Hubby that she's leave the Trump tent if he'd give up his anti-Trump scribbling.

But keep in mind, there can be more than one motive or cause for an action. The "need" to better suppress and brainwash her daughter, and abandoning the sinking Trump ship (as she perceives it), can BOTH be reasons she's abruptly departing the Trump camp. Associating with a loser is not Kellyanne's way. She, again like Trump, has to be a "winner."

Kellyanne Conway is a lifelong reactionary political operative.The early part of her "career" was spent advising rightwing Republicans on how to trick women into voting for the GOP, a party that denies women the right to control their own bodies. She's also a shameless opportunist and a chronic liar. All in all, a loathsome creature who has harmed humanity by her existence.

The Big Lie: Police Work Is "Dangerous" (It's Not)

In the U.S. the chances of being murdered if you are a cop is LESS than the chance of being murdered if you are a mere citizen. That is a fact. Policing is NOT a particularly hazardous occupation. Other jobs are MUCH more dangerous. Coal mining. Farming. Commercial fishing. Construction. Working in a meat packing plant. All are MUCH more physically dangerous than being a cop, in terms of serious injuries and deaths. (It is not so rare for people to be maimed for life in those other occupations.  It is exceedingly rare for police to suffer such misfortune.)

Cops spend most of their time sitting in their cars. Doing paperwork in their cop fortresses  is another major use of their time. Chasing "perps" down alleys, like on the repression- porn TV show "Cops," a vile propaganda program, is a minuscule percentage of what they do.

There are close to a million cops in the U.S., and yet only around 50 a year are currently killed by other people while on the job. That is half the average of 100 a year of several decades ago, when there were half as many cops. It was safe then, and now it's four times safer.

Yet cops, their fellow traveling reactionaries and white racist cheerleaders, and most of all the U.S. corporate oligarchy's propaganda system, constantly beat their breasts about how police "risk their lives for us." They raise this rhetorical wall of verbal garbage as a shield whenever there is attempt by mere citizens to criticize their outrageous, repressive behavior. (The corporate oligarchic propaganda system refers to itself as "the media," as if it's the one and only media there is, and is purely neutral and objective with no political character.) Very, very rarely, some police are in potentially dangerous (to themselves) situations. And yes, on rare occasions, one or two get killed. It would be like getting struck by lightning, except getting struck by lightning happens far more often than a cop getting killed occurs.

On the other side of the ledger, U.S. police shoot dead over 1,000 people each and every year in the U.S. Now, presumably these aren't ALL homicides. Surely some of these killings must be justified. And yet, one has to wonder why in other "advanced" countries, like those in Europe, and Canada, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, the number of people shot or shot dead by police is such a tiny fraction of the U.S number.

Police, like all reactionaries, like to pretend they are being persecuted. In their case, criticism of their crimes is the "persecution." They expect praise for their criminal acts, or at least silence (and media cooperation in spreading lies about their conduct). Police in the U.S. are NOT persecuted. In a nation that has systematically attacked and destroyed the union movement for decades reducing organized labor to a shadow of what it once was, police unions are allowed grotesquely exaggerated political power. Even as teachers' unions are under systematic assault by state governments and billionaires and their hired propagandists pushing "charter schools" and vouchers, police unions are treated with the deference usually reserved for the Roman Catholic Pope.

Because of their role as oppressors of the "lower" (i.e. poorer) classes in the U.S., a growing percentage of the population, cops are hated by more and more people. On occasions when public outrage explodes over police atrocities, cops feel genuinely aggrieved and insulted. THEY are outraged that anyone is outraged at THEM instead of profusely THANKING them for murdering someone, for example. Then they and their reactionary defenders and media propagandist enablers start to bleat about how "dangerous" it is to be a cop, how they have to make "split second decisions" or be killed. This is BULLSHIT. Every time they cold-bloodedly murder someone, or brutally beat someone who rubbed them the wrong way (or who merely has the wrong skin pigmentation) or break into homes ot attack people protesting causes the cops despise, they trot out their alleged need to make "split-second decisions" and screech that the second-guessing is HANDCUFFING the police and ENDANGERING THEM by making them hesitant to become instantly violent like a Hell's Angel or a steroid-addled bodybuilder subject to sudden and unprovoked rages. (By the way, many cops ARE 'roided-up goons. And many are violent veterans of the U.S. invasions of Iraq and Afghanistan, where they developed a taste for shedding human blood. Or just developed a combat mentality, which they apply to their "police" work, "protecting the serving" the rich and the power structure created by and for the rich.)



Cops are NOT "law enforcers." They are social order enforcers. They are guardians of the existing power structure. This is the single most important thing to understand about the police. Everything they do makes perfect sense once you perceive this fundamental fact.

Since "blacks" are the U.S. equivalent of Indian Dalits, "untouchables," and occupy the bottom status rung in a deeply racist society, and "need" to be "kept in their place," a task in which violence has historically been a central tool, although not the only one, we should not be mystified by "why do they keep killing black people?" If it wasn't desired that they regularly commit such atrocities, the legal and political systems would not PROTECT THEM WHEN THEY DO IT. And the only times they are NOT protected is when there is unrest AND the unrest does not SUBSIDE quickly.

Chinese dictator and "communist" emperor Mao Zedong infamously wrote that "political power flows out of the barrel of a gun." It also sprays from the nozzle of a pepper spray can, a tear gas canister, and sparks off the tips of a taser's barbs. That is, power always ultimately rests on physical force. Without the ability to use physical force to enforce one's will when challenged, there is no power. There may be influence, but not power. Power is the ability to force others to do what you dictate, not do what you ban, or to punish for disobedience.

In the current two weeks and counting nationwide (indeed global) mass protests against the murder of George Floyd in Minneapolis on March 25, the bourgeois politicians and propagandists have been talking as if they are on the same side as those they oppress. They've been wringing their hands nonstop, Tugging at their chins and wondering how to "fix" the "problem of racism." Meanwhile, the whole time, their police have been violently assaulting the protesters, killing several, and shooting an eye out of at least three people, among other atrocities. But the only "violence" those in power perceive is window-breaking and "looting" by people they insist on tying to the protesters. So as soon as the heat dies down, expect things to be back to business as usual.

Killer cop Derek Chauvin was only indicted after a police station was burned down in Minneapolis. It was only after 8 days or so of national turbulence that Minnesota state Attorney General Keith Ellison, a phony "progressive," took over the case and indicted the other 3 murderers of George Floyd. He is already warning how "hard" it will be to obtain convictions.

Malcolm X once said, "The only thing power understands, IS power." Or in this case, pressure. Pressure from masses of people. Most importantly, most of the demonstrators have been "white." That is new in the Black Lives Matter movement. That is also decisive. Blacks in the U.S. are a small minority, so having allies in the rest of the population is essential.

Ex-Minneapolis police officer Derek "Crusher" Chauvin bravely putting his life on the line to "protect and serve." And ingrates have the nerve to protest! What is the world coming to?

Coronavirus Causing Global Disease Outbreak Has Mutated- Vaccines Being ...

Researchers have been using the genome sequenced in China to develop vaccines for the SARS-CoV-2 virus, the "coronavirus" that causes the disease COVID-19 that has created a global pandemic. It turns out that the version that infected the New York City metropolitan area came from Europe. That strain of the virus is different from the one that originated in China, and is even more contagious than the Chinese virus. 

 

Worse, mutations make the virus a moving target for vaccine developers. 

 

Every year, researchers try to guess which mutations of the virus that caused the flu will be most prevalent, and make vaccines in advance that are intended to immunize people against perhaps 3 of the most worrisome strains. But the effectiveness of flu vaccines in providing immunity varies greatly from year to year. The best years provide 60% effectiveness: the worst, only 10%. Either way, the vaccines are no panacea for the flu. 

 

It looks like the same situation will obtain with this particular coronavirus. And it is more contagious than the flu viruses, and apparently more deadly. Already it has killed over 70,000 people in America, more than die from the flu in a typical flu season. And there is no end in sight. 

 

But stock markets love it. They have been rallying in Europe, Asia, and the U.S. Since stocks bottomed in the U.S. around March 21, stock averages have shot up like rockets. The Nasdaq has recouped all its year to date losses and is back at even. The Dow Jones Industrial average, which at the nadir was down around 30%, is now only 17% below its all time high. This when U.S. unemployment is now at Great Depression levels, and most companies' profits have been wiped out. Irrational exuberance, anyone? 

 

People's misery is celebrated by the stock speculators.

In case you didn't know, "jagging off" is slang for masturbation. Other slang terms for that activity are jerking off, beating off, beating one's meat, spanking the money, and hundreds or maybe thousands of expressions in other languages. The BBC Lies About The Holocaust

Amazing lie pushed out all over the world this morning by the premier propaganda arm of the British Government, the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC). Bergen-Belsen was a Nazi concentration camp liberated by British troops. According to the BBC this morning, an estimated 50,000 prisoners died there. (That would be from disease, starvation, and execution.) The BBC every half hour stated that "images of piles of bodies and starving inmates were the first evidence to reach the Wet of the horrors of the Holocaust."

No, they were NOT 'the first evidence to reach the West." Not by a long shot. The Allied armies in the West overran concentration camps in Germany in 1945, during the last weeks of the war. But information about what the Germans were doing was known as soon as the organized mass murder began.

In June 1941 Nazi Germany and its fascist allies Italy, Romania, and Hungary (plus Finland) invaded the Soviet Union. There were three extermination units, called Einsatzgruppen, one assigned to each of the invading German army groups. Their task was to follow in the wake of these armies and round up and execute Jews and Communist Party officials. In a few months they managed to murder hundreds of thousands of people. Of course word of this reached the Soviet authorities, who at that point were allied with Britain against Germany. (In December 1941 the U.S. joined the Soviets and British after Japan bombed Pearl Harbor and Germany declared war on the U.S.) So this was no secret. [1]

All during the war there was a stream of intelligence report and testimony of refugees, escapees, and spies as to the Nazi extermination program in the camps. On a number of occasions in 1944, various Jewish representatives beseeched the U.S. government to bomb the railroad lines to Auschwitz to interrupt the shipment of Jews from all over Europe into this death camp. The U.S. Army Air Force always refused. [2]

It has been a common theme of Western propaganda that the Allies only found out about the Holocaust at nearly the end of the war. But the actual historical record refutes this completely. Of course the sort of propagandists who work for media companies don't give a damn about actual facts.

Is it really possible that the BBC is so abysmally ignorant of history, or has such a feckless research
research department, that they don't know this? No, it isn't.

This is a political lie to protect the reputations of Britain and the U.S. In a very real sense, these nations were accomplices to the Holocaust. Especially the U.S., which barred Jews fleeing the Nazis from entering the U.S. (At least Britain took in some Jewish children, only insisting that their parents stay behind to be persecuted and ultimately murdered by the Germans and their fascist fellow travelers.)

The BBC isn't the only "Western" "news" organization that lies about the Holocaust. A commemoration of the liberation of the Auschwitz Nazi concentration camp, the most notorious of the archipelago of scores of Nazi concentration camps, was recently staged. This political ritual received major promotion in the U.S. corporate media system. A very key fact went completely unmentioned in the broadcast propaganda- namely which army liberated the camp! Of course it was the Red Army. Auschwitz was one of six mass exterminations camps set up to commit mass murder on an industrial scale. All six were set up on conquered Polish territory, apparently to keep them out of sight of the German populace. (The German people were okay with camps on German soil that only murdered thousands or tens of thousands of people.) It was the Red Army that overran Poland from the East, of course, in the drive to Berlin. By going on and on about the liberation while omitting the actual liberators, the clear impression was left that it was the U.S. that did the liberating. This is an example of lying by omission, a common tactic by U.S. establishment propaganda organs.

The BBC has a "history" program they call "Witness." Many of the episodes consist of rehasing anti-Soviet Cold War themes. While not factually incorrect for the most part, it is beating a dead horse. What purpose is served other than ideological indoctrination?

You'd think that now that the Soviet Union doesn't exist anymore, has ceased to exist for almost thirty years, they could let it go. But no.

Another pet peeve of the BBC is the East German Stasi, or secret police. Since East Germany ceased to exist even before the Soviet Union expired, and in any event was a small and not very consequential country, one might wonder about the motive here too. Did the Stasi even kill a few hundred people throughout its existence? On the other hand, the BBC largely ignores the mass murdering death squad regimes created by its U.S. masters, like the one in Guatemala (250,000 murdered), Iran after they installed the Shah as dictator in 1953 (another 250,000), Chile (at least 3,000 plus more outside its borders), or Argentina, encouraged by the U.S., which murdered 30,000 defenseless citizens. And there are others. In fact, right now the Colombian regime is busy murdering political activists and labor organizers. Since the FARC's latest surrender, they have assassinated almost 1,000 people, including many candidates for office. Not a word of this on the BBC.
Naturally the BBC, reflecting the vile position of the government of which it is a part, supports every U.S. coup, including the one in Honduras engineered by Barack "The Drone Assassin" Obama and his Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and the current ongoing one in Venezuela, just the latest coup attempt there, a criminal campaign that began under Bush the Younger, continued by Obama, and now Donald "Jackass" Trump is carrying the imperialist baton.

Naturally the BBC, reflecting the vile position of the government of which it is a part, supports every U.S. coup, including the one in Honduras engineered by Barack "The Drone Assassin" Obama and his Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and the current ongoing one in Venezuela, just the latest coup attempt there, a criminal campaign that began under Bush the Younger, continued by Obama, and now Donald "Jackass" Trump is carrying the imperialist baton.

Another thing the BBC is loathe to mention is the UK's support for Saudi Arabia's murderous assault on Yemen, which has caused mass starvation and a cholera epidemic in that country. For good measure, the Saudis are bombing the hospitals there, just as Russia and the Assad regime have systematically attacks the health clinics in territory the regime wants to take over. THAT the BBC reports. (As it should, of course.)


When you see such one-sided "coverage," such a clear double standard, and such obsessive trashing of defunct regimes, that's a tipoff that you are witnessing propaganda.

As to not bombing the rail lines, to be fair, given the inaccuracy of high-level bombing in those days, the ease and speed with which rail tracks can be repaired, there was good reason not to target rail lines. As to bombing the camp itself, there were prisoners of war there. However air raids were carried out against some of the factories in the sprawling complex, where slave laborers were often worked to death.
