2020 Presidential Election Now Guaranteed To Prevent Any Change In The U.S. System

Well, the dominant bourgeois elites have gotten their way once again, as they always do in all their elections.

There will be no chance of systemic change resulting from whoever wins in November.

The conservative [1] Joseph R. Biden, Jr., a man with a pro-school segregation past, a man who ranted at his staff that he wanted to have a reputation as "tough on crime" (code for tough on blacks) and lived up to it by playing key roles in passing draconian laws through Congress, a man who added to the power of banks and credit card companies at the expense of the people of the U.S., who protected Clarence Thomas on his way to Supreme Court confirmation, a man who whipped Democratic Senators into line on Bush's invasion of Iraq- has now been anointed the winner of the Democratic Party presidential nomination with less than half the needed 1991 delegates.

Anointed by the corporate media and the Democratic Party establishment.

This is who the Democratic Party poohbahs covertly designated as the nominee months ago, just as they covertly designated Hillary Clinton in 2016. And how his nomination seems assured.iIth his victories in yesterday's primaries, Biden is on a glide path to victory over Senator Bernard "Bernie" Sanders. With the media ballyhooing his lead and his "momentum," many voters in the remaining primaries, sheeplike, will fall into line behind Biden, much like iron filings pulled by a magnet.

The establishment has all but declared Biden the nominee.



On the radio network owned by Michael Bloomberg Billionaire, the announcers claimed Biden has "an all but insurmountable lead" over the hated Sanders. (Biden has about 800 delegates now, Sanders 666 or so. 1991 are needed to win the nomination. Most of the almost 800 "superdelegates," party insiders and venal lobbyists chosen by the party, will also be for Biden. Every Democratic member of Congress and member of the Democratic National Committee are superdelegates.)

The notorious Jame Carville, who makes a living helping reactionaries in other countries "win" elections, called for cancelling the remainder of the primaries, declaring "This thing is over, it's time to shut this thing down!" Congressman James Clyburn, who herded the black primary voters of South Carolina into Biden's corral, called for no more Democratic debates.

After the previous round of primaries, Peter Buttigieg, Amy Klobuchar, and even "Beto" O'Rourke, who had dropped out of the race long ago, almost simultaneously endorsed Biden, smacking of a conspiracy. Michael Bloomberg Billionaire did likewise, A few days ago, erstwhile candidates Kamala Harris and Cory Booker declared for Biden. The corporate propaganda system made sure to repeatedly broadcast their words.

Sanders only ever offered the illusion of the possibility of fundamental change. Seeking change via Sanders was like chasing the rainbow. It looks beautiful off in the distance, but you cannot ever grasp it. Sanders was always a political lone ranger, rejecting Ralph Nader's urging to form a caucus with other "progressive" Senators. Sanders has a comfortable relationship with the Democratic Party, which he is always at pains not to jeopardize. This is his fatal compromise with power. Thus in both his campaigns for president, he has treated his Democratic Party opponents for the nomination with kid gloves, and loyally thrown his full-throated support to the winners; Clinton in 2016, and this time it will be Biden.

The problem of how to change America is devilishly tricky, and worthy of a separate essay. The obstacles are enormous. To even seriously attempt it is actually a life-threatening endeavor, thanks to the murderous nature of this system.


The irony of Biden's apparent victory is that Biden has a lot in common with Trump- both are bullies, egotists, liars, and racists. Both men get violently angry when confronted with challenging questions or situations. We've seen this numerous times during the current Biden campaign. 1]  I call Biden a conservative because he is a man dedicated to preserving the status quo. That is what conservatism actually means. I do not use the gaslighting propaganda political terminology of U.S. elites and their foreign lackeys. They use "conservative" as a euphemism for reactionary, to make noxious rightwing ideology and politics respectable and honorable, when it is antithetical to human values. And "ultraconservative" is their code word for fascist.

A bourgeois politician who is pragmatic and rational is labeled "liberal." Thus Senator Elizabeth Warren's sensible desire to regulate big financial institutions in ways that prevent them from being a threat to the stability of the capitalist system is deemed "liberal" or worse.

Neoliberal corporatist imperialists are called "moderate" or "centrist," meaningless terms in themselves.

Michael Bloomberg Billionaire's Very Expensive Ego Trip Ends in Humiliation

World's Eight Richest Man spends over half a BILLION dollars ($500,000,000+, five hundred millions) on advertising to try and buy the presidency of the U.S.and only wins the Democratic Primary in American Samoa. And has to share the spoils with Representative Tulsi Gabbard of Hawaii, who gets one delegate from Am. Samoa. Bloomberg promptly drops out of the running. (At the same time "endorsing" Joe Biden, for what that's worth. I'd reckon not much.)

"Hey Mini Mike, you're a Loser!" [The goon with the shaved head on the right is Bernard Kerik, erstwhile henchman to Rudolph Giuliani, convicted felon whose crimes were just wiped off the books by a presidential pardon from Donald Trump.]

In the first and only debate with the other contenders for the Democratic Party nomination for president, Bloomberg showed himself woefully unprepared to mix it up with people who weren't sycophantic towards him. For years, Bloomberg has been surrounded by courtiers, opportunists, fawning "journalists" (propagandists of the capitalist system) and people sucking up to him in hopes of scoring a handout. So when Elizabeth Warren asked him pointed, predictable questions about the awful sexism inside his company, and his personal misogyny, he was flummoxed. Nor has he been successful in whitewashing his blatantly racist police repression of black and Latino males, the massive violation of Constitutional rights by the "stock and frisk" program which saw 5 million illegal street frisks in New York City, which Bloomberg ruled for 12 years as a Republican mayor. (One in a thousand of these degrading, brutalizing attacks on minority males results in finding a weapon. Many more found marijuana, justifying an arrest.) A Federal judge eventually found the practice illegal, as they were not based on a particularized suspicion of those being thrown up against walls and having their pockets gone through. They were targeted by race.

The smarmy chair of the Democratic National Committee, Tom Perez, did nothing to adjust his candidate debate rules to prevent the elimination of both black candidates (Kamala Harris and Cory Booker), the sole Latino, and the only Asian (Yang), but changed the rules to allow Bloomberg to participate in a debate, by removing the minimum requirement to score a certain percentage in polls, and to have a certain number of donors. Bloomberg was allowed to have just one donor- himself. He'd have been better off if Perez had kept him off that debate stage!

Dependable Party apparatchik Perez is applauded by his master.

Now with his mountain of loot (estimated around $60 billion) half a billion lighter, Bloomberg can go back to buying influence and puff piece "reporting" about himself. The man showed off his vanity, conceit, and self-regard, insisting he and he alone could take on Trump, he and he alone was competent to run the U.S.

Apparently his self-vaunted competency didn't transfer to running a campaign for president. But the various "consultants" and media "experts" and operatives can smile at their newly-swollen bank accounts, as can the media companies that ran his ads.

Now the Democratic Party and its corporate media allies are going to shove Joe "I Love How Your Hair Smells!" Biden down our throats. Unless Bernie Sanders goes to the convention with an absolute majority of delegates, he's finished. The 700 or so "Superdelegates"- party hacks and lobbyists primarily- are solidly machine loyalists who will go almost 100% for Biden. Elizabeth Warren hasn't done better than third in any state so far, including in her home state, Massachusetts, which she currently represents in the U.S. Senate! (Peter Buttigieg and Amy Klobuchar dropped out on successive days and immediately endorsed Biden, an obvious sign of a conspiracy by the Democratic Party hierarchy and rich donors. Only Tulsi Gabbard, who is totally marginal, is left along with Warren, Biden, and Sanders.)

Here are your choices under bourgeois "democracy." Now VOTE!

Biden spent his years in the Senate fighting school integration, passing draconian "crime" bills that made the U.S. the number one prisoner in the world- with 4.5% of the world's population the U.S. has 25% of the total global prison population!- greased the skids for the awful Clarence Thonas to score a lifetime perch on the Supreme Court, pushed hard for the Bush regime invasion of Iraq, assiduously promoted the interests of big banks and credit card companies at the expense of everybody else, and much more awfulness.

By the way, it's obvious from his confusion, garbled speech patterns, and incredible memory lapses as he's been campaigning (can't remember Obama's name at times) that Biden is in the early stages of senility. It's Reagan redux if he's elected.

How Joe Biden and Donald Trump Are The Same

Both are aggressive bullies who fly into rages when challenged on sensitive subjects. In the case of Trump, the documentation could fill several tomes. With Biden we've seen it whenever a journalist has dared raise the subject of his son Hunter Biden's incredible deal with Ukrainian gas company Burisma, obtained while Biden was vice president of the U.S. and the Obama regime's point man on Ukraine. Hunter was appointed to the corporate board with "compensation" of $50,000 a month, "earning" a total of $3 MILLION over his five year term. The only reason Hunter left the board, by his own admission in a television interview, was because of the harmful appearance it created as his Dad ran for president. Father Joe bullies reporters by shouting them down until they drop it. We also have videos of BIden's reaction to citizens who raise the issue politely. He lashed into one such unfortunate gentleman by calling him a "liar" and "fat" and challenging him to a push-up contest. On another occasion a Democrat tried to broach the issue of climate change and Biden testily told him to vote for somebody else. This was a man who said he'd vote for Biden!

Both are chronic liars. Trump lies more frequently, and more obivously. But many of Biden's lies are also quite obvious.

Both lie consciously. Biden's staff has on several occasions that have been reported in power establishment media, privately told him things he was saying publicly were not true, and he just kept saying them anyway- proving he's a conscious liar. Here's one example:

 

And this from a guy who opposed school integration and whose best buddies in the Senate were the worst arch-segregationists of the Deep Southf! Most galling.

Biden has variously claimed to have been in Afghanistan and Iraq "28 times," "29 times," and "over 30 times." His staff, and thus definitely Biden himself, know those are fibs:

Joseph R. Biden, Jr., is a Great Storyteller in the mold of Ronald Wilson Reagan. That is to say, he shamelessly fabricates emotionally manipulative tales. Like Reader's Digest magazine, the stories are crafted to provoke certain feelings in the unsophisticated portions of the populace. Also like the aforementioned rag, and the fascist racist Reagan, there is an underlying reactionary agenda most of the time.

One story Biden has been feeding the credulous crowds of his supporters as he campaigns for president has a tenuous connection to reality. It involves his allegedly pinning a medal on a military member. Only the way he tells it, he either has a terrible memory, or he's a virtually uninhibited liar and bullshit artist. As the version he's been reciting in a heartfelt style has been consistent in each telling, we can exclude memory problems as the explanation.

Here the Washington Post gives priority to the fact that the tale Biden tells as he tries to manipulate people into making him president is "moving," but false. So they genuflect to the military, and give Biden props for telling a "moving" story. In other words, they praise the con. Because if someone is moving you with falsehoods, that's a con job. It's a cynical emotional ripoff, at the very least, and if he takes your money or your vote, he's adding iinjury to insult.

And the Man Who Would Be President is lying to get his hands on the levers of power. What might such an unethical and ruthless person do with the power? Clearly he cannot be trusted.

Except the power establishment WANTS Biden to win. He's "moderate," unlike the extremists Sanders and Warren.

In his self-aggrandizing War Story, Biden didn't just get one or two facts wrong, or some minor ancillary details. Every important fact was flatly false. 

NBC "News" is even worse in soft-pedaling Biden's chronic mendacity. They deem his cynical story "inaccurate," when the correct description is "pack of lies." Here, I'll show you:

"Appears to be incorrect." That's from the Post story. At least the headline wasn't so mealy-mouthed, and correctly called it "false." But it wasn't because Biden was honestly mistaken. You don't get EVERYTHING wrong by ACCIDENT unless you are in advanced senility. Here's some of what NBC and the Post deem to be "inaccurate" and (apparently) "incorrect":

They put the most self-serving of Biden's lies last, "his own role in the ceremony." That's the most important part of the story Biden is flogging, in terms of Biden impressing those he's duping with his lies.

But with Trump, the Washington Post and various broadcast media (especially NBC's MSNBC) are willing to call a spade a spade and call many of Trump's lies "a lie." The Post even keeps a running tally of what it deems Trump's "lies." Although that list of putative falsehoods probably includes things Trump actually believes, which means they aren't lies, but are false.

Both men are egomaniacs. In Trump's case, there are also obvious narcissistic personality traits.

Both treat other people as inferiors whom they can abuse to indulge their own impulses. 

Trump has a record as a sexual predator, something he has even boasted about. Biden has a thoroughly documented history of molesting women by inappropriate touching, stroking, grabbing, and sniffing. He also does this to children of both genders.   [1]

Politically, both are reactionaries who completely support U.S. corporate oligarchy, bourgeois class dictatorship, U.S. imperialism, and a grotesquely swollen military industrial complex that enforces all of the preceding.

This is the choice of candidates for president in 2020 that the Democratic Party poohbahs and the corporate propaganda system (aka "the media") want to force on the American voting public.

Unfortunately most people are sheep. Being ovine, they won't even vote for the alternatives on the ballot, such as the progressive Green Party or the Libertarian Party, the party of laissez-faire capitalism. Until that changes, there is no hope for improvement in the structure of U.S. society.

Meanwhile, the people in the rest of the world will have to establishment governments in their own nations committed to opposing U.S. global domination. Of course, where that has happened, the U.S. has made sure to overthrow such governments, as it has done in Bolivia and Ecuador most recently, and has it has been trying to do in Venezuela under the current president and his two predecessors. (Trump, Barack "The Drone Assassin" Obama, and George W. "The 9/11 Mass Murderer" Bush.) Too bad Europeans are too feckless to make the necessary changes in their own countries.
